I am also a higher rookie roper. Still mainly working on riding but doing alot of groundwork as well. For a first rope, i would reccomend the Cactus Ropes Amigo. Its really lightweight and easy to swing. Good tip and exelent body. i would recomend Xsoft. Don't get XXsoft.

Ok, I'm new here and new to roping but what is the best kind of rope to begin with? Size? Lay? Diameter? ECT?
