photo 2            It’s been a fun time out here at the WestStar ranch in Ellensburg, Washington.’ We are coming up on the end of our season, and its coming down to the wire. We have not clinched the finals yet. We need a few more checks to feel comfortable about it. I am feeling way better about the rest of the year. I am in the process of buying a new horse if he passes the vet check today and hopefully I’ll be able to ride him the rest of the year. He is a great horse and feels really easy to rope off of. I’ll write about him another time.

Anyway, I am excited to get to Puyallup, Washington this weekend for the first tour finale of the year. We need to win something to get into Omaha, Nebraska for the second tour finale of the year.

photo 2Right now I am reading my Bible at a coffee shop. I enjoy doing that. It seems like every time I slow down and read my Bible, I get refocused and encouraged. I thank God for his guidance. It’s pretty amazing how “easy” He makes life when I follow Him. Needless to say, I feel better and more confident about the rest of the year.

We have about 8 rodeos left on the season. It’s almost over… which is good and bad. I love roping out here. It’s AWESOME! But all at the same time, it is tough… I feel more focused now and encouraged now more than ever! I am ready to finish strong and keep things rolling! Need a little bit more to feel comfortable with my standings and finish at the end of the season. Let me hear how you all are doing? Message me on my Fan Page at https://www.facebook.com/dhorner24.

Where are y’all roping next? What encourages you all to stay focused when you are going into an event? What makes you nervous when you are preparing for a roping or a rodeo? Keep up the feedback guys! I’m enjoying being able to talk to a few of you! Keep the questions and comments rolling! Hope y’all are doing well! DH
