Experience Pays Off

Every year, it seems I learn something new about our sport. I have been on the road, full time, for about 3 and half years now. That’s not a long time compared to some of the veterans out there, like our buddy team Clay Tryan and Jade Corkill, but I have definitely gained enough experience to feel confident about the summer run.

As I have been preparing for the summer run, I tend to think about when and where I am going. I used to not have any idea what to expect, but now, I’ve been enough to prepare myself better for the summer. I know things like what the Reno, Nevada barrier score line feels like and I know what it’s like to have a Heeler come out of the same box with me at places like Salinas, California and Prescott, Arizona. I don’t get as nervous as I used to. I have enough experience to know what I am facing. That is huge! I believe that experience is a big factor to a lot of guys success out there. Some people might disagree, but I know that a lot of my success is owed to the experience I have gained now. I am anxious to leave for the BFI. That’s the starting event for our big summer run. It is kind of cool to get to go to a major jackpot first to kick off the summer. I’m excited and I can’t wait!

Thanks for reading! I’ll keep y’all posted soon about our summer run when we head out. Talk to y’all later! DH
