Life’s Perspectives

Sometimes, roping is annoying. I have done terrible since we left for the summer. We had one good day on the right day, but other than that, we have literally been the worst team out here as far as money earned at the rodeos. It has been the worst EVER for me in roping… pretty unbelievable really.

I have been practicing and I have been getting myself mentally focused as much as possible, and it shows signs of turning around. We are starting to put together some runs and win a little more often. We still have a chance at making the finals. Through all of this, I have been paying attention to the news to keep myself in tune with our world. It seems as if our world is blowing up. Everyone has said that for my entire life, so it is really nothing new. We see terrorist groups in the Middle East devoting they’re entire life’s purpose to wipe certain groups of people off the face of the earth, particularly declaring a JIHAD on Jews and Christians. They want to eliminate everyone that disagrees with they’re beliefs. North of there, Russia is pushing the limits on the world. They literally took over apart of another country! That is something that is not supposed to happen in our current day and age, but it did, and it can continue to happen.

When I think about the chaos in the world and realize that Israelis face death everyday due to bombs landing around them in unpredictable locations regularly, it can put things into perspective. I would fight back too! Evil must be stopped! Our world has evil in it. That is a FACT and a REALITY! Get used to it and do something about it. For as long as we are here on this earth’s current condition, there will be evil. Threats to morality and righteousness will remain and we MUST do something about it. To sit back and watch terrorist groups kill people based on the fact that they believe something different is ABSURD! Freedom must be fought for and stood up for.

My point is, on the grand scheme of things, roping is not what really matters. It is important to me and I do feel like I am doing what I am supposed to be doing at this time, but there are more important things out there. People are dying for freedom everyday. America is a light and an example to the world. We must not take that for granted and we must stand up for freedom in all parts of the world. We must cherish our freedom and take care of it to pass it on to the next generation and we also must back up freedom in other parts of the world for people to experience the life that God has given us.

What can you do?
Educate yourself by paying attention to the news. I suggest FOX News.
Educate on history. Particularly United States History. Why was the U.S. originally settled and founded? Study the history of the Middle East. What have been the boundaries of the countries that are fighting so much over the past years and why are they fighting?
Ultimately, if you are an American Citizen, you have been given the luxury to vote. That is GIFT! It has been payed for in BLOOD by men and women that have fought for that your ENTIRE life! DO NOT be lazy and not vote! There are people in other countries that risk they’re lives to stand in a voting line. GET UP AND VOTE! Take action and understand why and what you believe in.
